Been a while since I've posted on here. I will be trying to keep this blog up to date from now on. We are expecting a new baby at the end of September or beginning of October. We find out Wednesday if baby 2 is a boy or girl! How exciting! So in preparation for the new baby, I crocheted a coming home outfit. It is obviously a girl outfit, so if we find out it is a boy this will become a very nice gift for someone I know expecting a baby girl. Or, if none of my friends have girls any time soon, heck I may have a girl someday! (HA!)
I can post the pattern if anyone is interested, the hat was a spontaneous creation, and the dress began inspired by a YouTube video, here, but I created my own pattern from the collar on. The sandals were also spontaneous and, to be honest, I don't know if I can write a good pattern for them. I am not even sure if they will be the right size for a newborn. LOL. If anyone is interested in the pattern, leave a comment and I will create a post with the hat and dress pattern and link it to this. And I may try to include the sandal pattern, but don't expect a pretty result as I am not totally sure how I made them look decent. Haha.

Angel Sleeve Flower Dress
Canon simply soft 2 colors, size 5mm hook, scissors, (2 large buttons to
match yarn colors)
DRESS:
Ch 42, HDC in 3rd stitch from hook
R1: HDC across for 40 HDC total, Ch 2, turn
R2: HDC in next stitch from turn Ch, Inc. nxt st, HDC nxt,
Inc. nxt, repeat across row; Ch 2, turn
R3: HDC in each st; Ch 2, turn
R4: Repeat row 2 inc. every other st; Ch2, turn
R5: HDC each st; Ch2, turn
R6: HDC, HDC, Inc. in 3rd st (2 HDC), repeat
across row; Ch 2, turn
R7: HDC in each st
Count in 40 st from each end of the collar and place a st
marker
Join to one marker, Ch 30, join at opposite marker; Ch 2
R8: HDC in each Ch or stitch in the round to start bodice
R9: Join, Ch 3; Place 2 DC in the same stitch to create
cluster; Ch 1
Skip 2 Stitches and Place 3 DC in next st for next cluster;
RPT for the remainder of the round
R10: Join, Ch 3, DC 2 in gap, Ch 1, DC 3 in next gap, RPT
for the round, join
Change colors
R11: Repeat as with R9 and R10 with color 2
Change colors
R12: Rpt R11 with color 1; Join, Ch 2
R13: HDC in each stitch around, join, Ch2
R14: Rpt R13
R15: Rpt R13/R14, join, Ch 3
R16: Place 2 DC in same stitch as Ch; Ch 1, Skip 2 stitches,
Place 3 DC cluster in 3rd stitch, Rpt round
R17: Rpt R10
R18: Rpt R10/R17, join, Ch 2
R19: HDC in each st around, join, ch 2
R20: Rpt R19
Change colors
R21: HDC in each st around with color 2
R22: Rpt R21
R23-26: Start DC Cluster round as with previous rounds
(optional: ch2 between clusters to create more flare around bottom edge.
SLEEVES: line collar
up in back and join yarn at armpit of sleeve to the back of the bodice
R1: Ch 2, SC around, join, ch2
R2: HDC in same stitch as ch, slip next st, 2 HDC in next
st, slip next, rpt pattern around, join and tie off
Do the same for opposite side.
BACK: I am going
to do a 2 button fasten off with Ch loop to secure buttons
ADORNMENT:
6 petal flower (color 2)
Ch 5, join, SC 8 in
loop
P1: Ch 3, 4 TC in same stitch, Ch 3, join with slip in next
st
P2: Ch3, 4TC in same stitch, Ch 3, join with slip in next st
Repeat around for 6 petals, join with slip at the last petal
and tie off
Attach flower to front of collar
